What’s new on Aston’s stand? Nothing. After a flurry of activity pre-Ford sale (V8 Vantage Roadster and DBS) and the recent V12 Vantage RS, it’s not surprising to find Aston Martin in something of a lull at Geneva.
Many premium brands struggle to keep their heritage of crafts and aesthetics up to date without often falling into obvious retro references. With a rich tradition of innovation, Cadillac tackled this difficult task in 2003 by creating the stunning Sixteen concept. Its caricature-like proportions exaggerate all the luxury car design codes.
With entertainer Jay Leno acting as host, Jaguar has taken all of the cloaks off the redesigned XJ sedan. Jaguar said the new XJ will go on sale in the United States in December and will carry a base price of $72,500, including shipping charges. The new XJ will be sold in standard- and long-wheelbase versions.
